No, you do not need a referral to access our speech pathology services. However, if you wish to claim a rebate through Medicare, you will need your GP to complete the relevant forms, which should then be provided to us. Please see our funding page for further information.

Please bring any previous allied health assessment reports and relevant medical history. While you don't need to bring anything specific for your child, you are welcome to bring a favourite toy or book to help them feel more comfortable during the appointment.

During the initial speech pathology assessment, we will collect information from you regarding your child’s development and any concerns you may have. We will also interact with your child through play and structured activities to assess their communication skills. This assessment is necessary before starting therapy to understand your child’s strengths and identify areas that may require support. In some cases, two appointments may be needed to complete the assessment.

Following your child’s assessment, verbal feedback and a brief written summary of the results will be provided. A more comprehensive assessment report can be provided at an additional cost.

We typically recommend weekly or fortnightly appointments depending on your child’s goals.

Yes, we offer telehealth appointments for families who prefer remote support or cannot visit us in the clinic.
