Funding

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is a national funding scheme in Australia that supports people with disabilities. The NDIS Early Childhood Approach helps children under 6 years old who have a developmental delay or children under 9 years old with a disability. For children under 6, a diagnosis is not needed to receive support if there are concerns about more than one area of their development. Happy Sounds Speech Therapy accepts NDIS clients with self-managed and plan managed funds. We currently not accepting clients who are agency managed.

  • Medicare

Some children may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, which was previously called an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. This plan offers a Medicare rebate for up to five sessions with an allied health professional each calendar year. To find out if your child is eligible for a CDM Plan, please talk to your GP. You can claim your Medicare rebate online through your myGov account or by using the Medicare Express Plus App.

  • Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance with extras, you might be eligible for a rebate on speech pathology services. Please check with your health insurance provider to see if your child is eligible for rebates. If they are eligible, you can claim the rebate through your insurance fund using the details on the invoice you receive after your appointment. We accept all Australian private health funds.
